Exporters away from the coast carry a hidden cost: getting goods to the port. LIFT reduces it. If you're an MSME in a notified district, the Government gives back up to 30% of the cost of moving your export goods from your premises to an Inland Container Depot (ICD), Container Freight Station (CFS), sea port or Air Cargo Complex.
Shipment can be by rail or road (air is allowed for certain regions), and the support is capped at ₹20 lakh per exporter per financial year.
